Cedarwood Essential Oil Reduces Pain & Inflammation, Improves Breathing, Skin & Hair

One of my favorite things in the world is to take a simple walk in the woods, and while walking in the woods breathe in that fresh air from nature. That fresh crisp air is one of the best things not only for a clear mind but also incredibly beneficial for the lungs and lymphatic system. The purer the oxygen for the lungs to breathe the better quality oxygen that gets absorbed into the blood.

When you walk in the forest and you smell the trees you’re smelling something very valuable for your health. Something called terpenes. Terpenes are plant compounds that give them an aromatic smell. Examples of plants with potent terpenes include cannabis, lavender, a fresh orange peel, and more!

If you’re in the forest you may smell pine trees or cedarwood trees. These are also emitting terpenes that are engaging your sense of smell.

Terpenes Engage Your Sense Of Smell But Do Much More

When terpenes are discussed by people they typically talk about the different terpene profiles and how each smell is different and nice. These smells are not only pleasant but they have a variety of therapeutic benefits. Terpene have documented and well researched benefits that range from antimicrobial to antiviral, antimicrobial, antifungal, antihyperglycemic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, as well as anti-parasitic and more!

If you’re from the north or live in the north you’ll recognize the beauty and smell of a cedarwood tree.
